PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Oak Hills Community League Members,
Our Annual General Meeting is to be held next Monday, April 30th, at 7 PM in the Subway Arena Multi-Purpose Room B at the Terwillegar Community Recreation Centre. I encourage everyone to attend. This will be a particularly important meeting given the number of critical vacancies on our board. This includes Vice President, Social Director and Membership Director. As I will also not be seeking re-election, the position of President will become vacant as well.
Over the last few years since inception, the board has worked to get things started for our league. We formally incorporated, built a membership base, began programs, created a website, and raised funds. Starting from scratch, I am happy to say that we now have over thirty thousand dollars saved up and we are also now eligible to apply for additional funding. We also have designated land that we can build on.
Going forward, the league is only as strong as the volunteers who make up the board. Without people filling these key positions, our ability to continue as a league is called into question. We have many opportunities to do some great things within our community, and have the resources in place to make these things happen. All that is needed are the people with passion to continue on the management and growth of what we started three years ago.
I’d like to ask you to consider running for one of the board positions, and help continue the vision of building a great league. I am available to answer any questions you may have, and truly hope to see good attendance at the meeting on Monday.
Best regards,
Warren Sheydwasser

Welcome
The Oak Hills Community League is in the heart of Terwillegar/Riverbend, known as District H by the EFCL.
It comprises two communities: Leger (Whitemud Oaks and Carter Crest (Whitemud Hills). We are a new community league in the neighbourhood and with our increasing membership, the Board is planning programs, events and other activities. We encourage our members to get involved.
Community Spirit is priceless!
